Where can I download latest Promise RAID drivers for A7V133?

Can't load Promise RAID driver on NW 6.0 SP5
Upgrade your Promise driver from the Lite version that ASUS gave you. After flashing the FULL RAID BIOS, the boot sequence shows the Promise BIOS as a "TX2000", so I'm guessing most of the info above regarding the use and limitations of FastBuild applies to those that have that Promise stand-alone controller.

HDD failure
Considering the overhead I cannot understand to use ATA RAID to increase performance. Again I might be wrong. 3.2 Redundancy=RAID-1. It is a disk mirroring array. Data is duplicate it in the pair of drivers. In SCSI reading is double. In ATA probably not. However this arrangement has value as data protection.

Raid 0
I see you mention the Promise ide RAID controllers. These are 'software' controllers. By that, it is meant they are powered by the host cpu - they do not have their own built in cpu. This means that they will need drivers for the OS; for example, Mandrake 8.1 sees my array as two seperate, unformatted drives.

Robert Harris robertdotfdothar...@blueyonder.co.uk uk comp os linux You need an OS driver to talk to the Promise RAID controller (the BIOS only talks to it at boot time). Lasted MS XP Promise RAID Driver Patch
I have seen time and again the IDE programmers for the kernel reccomend against them because Promise does not release specs or open source drivers for the cards, so it makes it difficult to support. Promise non-RAID cards work wonderfully though. I use their ATA/66 and ATA/100 cards in dozens of systems,

Remember that ataraid is only software RAID driver and pdc202xx_new is a chipset driver. Doesn't the following already work "ide2=0 ide3=0 ...." for the promise binary driver? and write your drivers well, it is quite feasable that a software mirroring system chould keep running after a conventional failure of a drive, and the system MIGHT even reboot, if your BIOS cooperates.
